_ROOK Safety Razor

This was a design exercise for myself centered around a product I feel strongly about. I think more people would adopt a safety razor if it was positioned as a modern, sophisticated grooming tool as opposed to a niche object of nostalgia. The people who use these razors know what they have, and they aren't picking up a MACH 1200 HD ULTRA anytime soon.

This is my interpretation of a razor with a modern aesthetic paired the classic function of a safety razor.

I was inspired by an "everyday carry" lifestyle and feeling and as I was designing the razor the rook became a great mooring post for the design story.

Potential packaging direction
